Green screen studio set up

These two photos illustrate the green screen set up I use for The Northwest Minute.

I use three FloLights, a Panasonic HPX370 ENG style camera and a vintage MacBook Pro as a teleprompter on a DIY mount. I also use a Photovision white balance target, which has black, white and a neutral gray target on one side.

This week I added a Photoflex reflector to cut the background light off so Dante's bald head wouldn't be too hot. The background light is mounted on a century stand (c-stand) with a boom arm and aimed straight down. Aiming the light straight down (parallel to the background) makes a smooth light with only a marginal hot spot.

The Westcott brand green screen is made of a fleece blanket type material and I leave it hung all the time.

The two foreground FloLights are raised up high, which help eliminate reflections in Dante's glasses when he hosts the show.
